Coach Tony Martorano

Tony joined Treeline in January of 2024. A Central Oregon native born in Bend, Anthony (or Tony to most) moved to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon and discovered Cross Training in December of 2012. Tony’s initial draw to this style of training stemmed from its many parallels to his high school athletic career and his constant drive to have a goal to work towards. Fortunately, it provides him with plenty of opportunities to get better, even 12 years later.
Tony obtained a Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon in 2016 and spent 6 terms teaching and assisting in the human anatomy cadaver lab. Coaching and teaching has always filled the passion bucket for Tony, so coaching came as a natural progression to his curiosity and desire to learn and pass that knowledge onto others.
Tony got his first opportunity to coach in the fitness space at the University Rec center for a semester before obtaining his CrossFit Level 1 Certification in the spring of 2019. Tony has been coaching in both an individual and group setting nearly every day since then.
Most recently, Tony has completed The Active Life Professional curriculum which focuses on creating Professionals that are capable of bridging the gap between healthcare and fitness.
Outside the gym, you’ll find Tony obscenely cheering for his favorite sports teams and spending time with his family and friends.

What advice do you have for new members at Treeline?
Growth begins just outside the margins of your comfort zone. Allow yourself to step outside the comfort of your current experiences. Begin simply by showing up. Lean on the staff to guide you towards your goals and immerse yourself into the community because they are here to support you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Frankly, ask more questions that seek to broaden your understanding of what CrossFit is and WHY we do what we do. Avoid letting ego drive your decisions inside the walls of the gym. Rather, approach training with curiosity, open-mindedness, and humility. Give yourself the permission to learn, to fail, and to succeed. And perhaps most important of all, remember that consistency matters.

Coach Jenny Simmons

Jenny has been coaching in the fitness space since 2019 and with Treeline since 2023. A native Oregonian, she started cross-training just before she turned 40 as she was looking for a new challenge. With a background in track and field - specializing in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay - she brings a strong foundation in speed, power and disciplined training to every athlete she works with.
As a mom of four grown kids, a bonus daughter, and a proud grandma, she understand the importance of balance, resilience and creating a supportive environment. Her coaching philosophy centers on meeting athletes exactly where they are - whether they are brand new to fitness, returning after time away, rehabbing from injury/surgery or pushing towards other athletic goals. After years of coaching her own kids in youth sports - primarily soccer & some basketball, coaching group classes seemed the next best thing.
In addition to coaching, Jenny along with her husband own and operate an exterior cleaning business. Their family business, has been a local favorite for 25+ years.
In her limited spare time, Jenny loves to travel to see three of her kids that all live in Texas. Her youngest daughter plays D2 soccer in Austin, TX and that makes those visits even more exciting. Jenny enjoys the time she spends with her family doing just about anything together.
